От 2006 година ЗИТА е със 100% частно участие, с персонал от 50 човека. Основното производство е прибори и уреди за контрол на температурата и протичането на различни флуиди предназначени за автоматиката, пневматиката, хидравликата, битовата техника и др. Нашето техническо и промишлено ноу-хау е плод на 40 годишен опит свързан, както с производството така и с големия обем изследователска дейност, извършен през годините. Това за нас е едно ценно и важно наследство, което ни стимулира да подобряваме качеството на нашите продукти. Ние искаме да предложим на нашите клиенти напълно сигурни и надеждни продукти, като се съобразяваме с изискванията на съвременния пазар и максимално удовлетворяваме нуждите на нашите потребители. До момента ЗИТА е единствен в България производител на електромагнитни вентили и пневматични разпределители и водещ в производството на терморегулатори. Изнася продукция в Русия, Беларус, Украйна, Казахстан, Армения, Гърция, Македония, Румъния, Молдова, Германия, Дания, Норвегия, Великобритания, САЩ и др.

              The ZITA production plant has accumulated more than 40 years of experience in the production of electromagnetic valves and electrical magnets. The first license was purchased from the firm HERION-WERKE in 1973 via the foreign trade company "TEHNIKA" and approved by the then Ministry of electronics and electrical engineering of the People's Republic of Bulgaria. In February of 1980, this license was extended by another two years. A second license was purchased from HERION-WERKE in 1983 and some additional products were added thereto. In 1988 HERION-WERKE went on to purchase a third license. The entire production range developed by HERION-WERKE were distributed in the former Comecon as well as in countries like the Federal Republic of Germany, Albania, Iraq, Libya, Jordan, Algiers, Mexico, Cuba, etc. In those days ZITA was a state-run enterprise, controlled entirely by the Bulgarian State planning committee. During the years between 1973 and 1990, ZITA and HERION-WERKE operated in cooperation not only by exchanging specialists but also by the manufacturing of products from ZITA to HERION-WERKE for the purpose of paying the licenses fees.

               In parallel to the changes from the end of the 80's, ZITA started selling part of its buildings in order to cover its accrued obligations to various creditors. Bulgarian policies during the years after 1990 were directed at selling out the large state-owned enterprises to private companies for the purpose of denationalization. In 2001 ZITA was sold to a private company but the state retained a certain percent of the assets as its property. During 2006, ZITA became 100% private and it remains so until today. In spite of the changes in the form of its ownership, ZITA has not stopped the manufacturing of electromagnetic valves, but with time it lost its larger clients similar to the fate of most of the state-owned companies in the countries of the former socialist block.

               As of 2006 ZITA manufactures electromagnetic valves which conform entirely to the products licensed by HERIONWERKE during the years but with the addition of new varieties maintaining, at the same time, the quality and reliability which are a characteristic features of the products manufactured by HERION-WERKE. Many of the employees at the company who work for it to this day are specialists, who have personally participated in the adoption of the licenses. The company employs scientific specialists from outside to develop innovative products. Our major task has been to improve our energy efficiency.
